Dilemmas and conflicting pressures in social work practice

On the basis of 102 texts in which social workers describe their experiences from and reflections on own practice, we identify analyse a number conflicting pressures dilemmas often encounter practice. The how they have to balance between providing care implementing policy, while also helping people, exercising control, being loyal both clients, colleagues authorities. article sheds light ideological, organisational economic factors affect work workers’ relations collaboration with different actors lead loyalties. By exploring contradictions that arise influence work, this can provide insight into cause pressures.
